St. Jerome Catholic School, located in Fort Lauderdale at 2601 Southwest 9th Avenue, five minutes from downtown Fort Lauderdale, phone (954) 524-1990, is a thriving, bustling and visible institution dedicated to the education of the whole child. It has the best in 21st century learning with advanced technology and an innovative science lab. St. Jerome is the school of tomorrow, today. They are privileged to have more than a 50-year history of excellence. All that they do moving forward is built on the extraordinary legacy rooted in the St. Philip Neri tradition.
St. Jerome, regardless of religion or ethnicity, is accredited by the Florida Catholic Conference (FCC) and provides a faith-centered, safe and nurturing environment in which students learn to give back to society; a student body of about 315 students, which is large enough to offer cutting-edge technology and small enough to provide individualized attention to develop lifelong educational skills (a community where everyone knows your children’s names). The students are empowered to perform at the highest level and prepared for success in high school and university classrooms.
The school has high academic standards in which their faculty, assist and empower students to excel and to acquire self-discipline. St. Jerome Catholic School is very proud of its NCEA (National Catholic Educational Association) nationally recognized Faculty, Administration, Home and School Association and Social Justice program. St. Jerome is a place where children love to go to school. It is the only Catholic school in Broward County staffed and directed by a religious order (The Sisters of St. Philip Neri).
The curriculum is sponsored by the Archdiocese of Miami and includes Accelerated Literature and Math (2-8 grades), Corrective Reading, Title I Program, 1:1 Digital learning environment with take home iPads and Apple computers; Spanish and French programs including native speakers. The school has a new state-of-the-art Science Lab Wing and is very proud of their state-winning Choir.
The After-Care Program includes Math and Grammar Clinics, high school prep classes, sports, band, gymnastics, ballet, theater, intramural soccer, baseball, basketball and cheerleading, public speaking, science lab, video and computer clubs. Early care is available as well as summer camp and summer school.
