Dr. Burris worked as a part-time clinical instructor in cardiology at the District of Columbia General Hospital, under the Georgetown University Cardiology Service, for the first three years of his practice. Since then, he has dedicated 100% of his time to his patients. Dr. Alfred Burris carries out a full cardiovascular history and examination. Non-invasive testing such as electrocardiograms, echocardiography, Holter monitoring, exercise stress testing and nuclear cardiology are all performed in his office. Procedures such as cardiac catheterizations, coronary artery angioplasty and coronary artery stenting are performed by Dr. Burris, usually at Washington Hospital Center. Clinical cardiology, interventional cardiology and nuclear cardiology are all focus areas.
